If you visit foreign countries like Singapore, Holand, France etc., you’ll find steel grills which are very thin to look at but never bend or break even when the heaviest of vehicles go over them. Their structural design is optimal and perfect making them use very little steel. Their sometimes galvanised to avoid rusting.

Measure the existing drain covers in India and compare them with a well-designed grill. We can then determine the potential savings on an all India basis.
